Nashville is fine, but Seattle is a real music city! I don’t get to Seattle often but I can see myself settling a North Seattle Hotel, and then finding some really nice jazz bands – the Stacy Jones Band sounds extremely fun, I’ll just have to hope they’re in town when I am!

I enjoyed this, it was interesting reading your POV about Dirt, Beardo, and the Ave (Andre Legacy wasnt in attendance?).

We agree on one thing: Mickey's 2nd cd "Loaded" was over produced and lost the more gritty feel of his 1st. He went a little overboard with the 'rockstar' image and ego.

However, I don't agree with the rest of your article. At the end of the day, these guys are the bomb. If you want cookie cutter hip hop/rap, there's plenty of it on the radio, and there's nobody out there as FUN as Mickey/Ave/Legacy/Beardo. Yeah, they are "Hollywood," but they equally MAKE FUN OF HOLLYWOOD in their songs. They do it THEIR way, hence why they stay underground/surfacing.

Now, as a woman, I am grossed out by the slutty teen girl element of these shows, but what can you do? Mickey rapped about slutty people and these teens glamorized it all on their own.

My friends and I are all in our 30s or so, and there's enough humor/wit/amazing beats to keep us entertained.

Had the honor of following Orca Team at Slims, as organist for "The Jilly Rizzo" The entire band was captivated, and I found them to be the epitome of suburban charm. Lief's talents however, should not make Jessica a silent plucking partner. She should sing, too.

Nate! I went hiking this past weekend and wanted to listen to the CD you gave me over 5 years ago. I didn't have time to get it into my phone before I left. Frustrated, I tried a last ditch effort, and searched for you guys on Spotify. The Upperhand is there!

I have tried looking you up on Facebook and what not, but have not had any luck. In any case, I hope you are well. If you get this let me know the best way to get a hold of you. It would be great to catch up.

I don't think I have heard their music before, but I am trying to add more to my music repertoire. I plan on viewing some live music in Seattle next week when I visit, so maybe I'll find them playing somewhere. What are some other good bands that I could be on the lookout for while I'm there? I want to make sure that I'm not missing something good.
