Heart it, obviously. I love me some regional end-of-year lists. And one more vote for Starfucker's Jupiter. I'm kinda sad about the whole name change to Pyramidd though.

Hey Matt,
just bought the Give compilation last week, but I haven't listened to it much yet. Def worth the 7 bucks, though.

I saw People Eating People a few months back, but haven't heard the record yet.

There were some really good records this year, but there was a lack of records that really rocked. (compared to last year when Helms Alee, The Heavy Hearts, These Arms Are Snakes, and others all released great records).

Give Seattle was the best compilation (it features many of the bands on your list).

People Eating People put out a great record late in the year that might be overlooked as far as year end lists.

I'm not surprised you thought the Cave Singers show was amazing. I've seen them several times and have the same thought every time. For some reason, though, Welcome Joy didn't resonate with me quite the way Invitation Songs did.

Thanks for the offer, I'll check out your site.

Great list. I saw Cave Singers in PDX with Dr. Dog, I thought they were amazing, so glad to see they made honorable mention at least. Ran into the Intelligence up there randomly one night, too, and that was a really good show...haven't heard the record.

While I'm here, I've started up a new music blog aggregator at www.poplibrarian.com, and would absolutely love to have you on board. (It'd be great to cover the NW angle.) Check out the site and submit your blog from the link at the top! Thanks a lot and keep producing the great writing!
