In Case You Were Wondering…
March 29th, 2009
…what great big tools Kevin and I are in “real life” (face it, people, the internet is fake), then head on over to Seattle Show Gal’s Sub Blog for a little Q&A with the two of us. If you don’t quickly feel nausea from the general nerdiness—mostly mine, leDoux plays it pretty cool—then congratulations. That’s because Nikki (the Show Gal) did a pretty fucking amazing job of turning a trainwreck into a fun little balloon ride. The RATATAT soundtrack is an extra plus. She may have a career in film editing if she gets bored with reviewing ridiculous amounts of shows all the time. Check her main site for a practical take on local bands and Seattle show-going (rating systems included!). And if you’re wondering what a “sub” blog is, you’ll have to ask her—I only know about regular blogs.
.
I don’t have the guts to embed the video, so head here to watch. Kev, feel free to go ahead with that if you so choose.
.
File this under “BLOG ABOUT ME!” and “Masochistic Tendencies”.

I would argue Kevin plays it mostly mute, which comes off as a combination of playing it cool and playing it confused.

It’s funny, she seemed to cut all the interesting, insightful and witty things I said. Oh, well I suppose I can’t always have the limelight. Seriously though, kudos to SSG for making all that babble into something resembling a conversation.

wow. wow. and wow. That was worth coming to work Monday morning. I want to learn the Seattle Subsonic gang sign that LB threw up on camera. I didn’t realize we had gotten that far.
(way to get the U2 reference in there leDoux)

Kevin was playing the role of Kevin. Solid. I don’t know LB though, so this was a good snapshot into his inner hilarity. Now I have some manic framework to pair with his writing. Funny stuff.

Well, technically, I only flashed my t-shirt ONCE, but the miracles of technology made it seem otherwise. Once was probably too much.
And, B, that sign is some way back C-Hill shit that I can’t give up unless you wanna be initiated (note: initiation is a serious beat-down, followed by tea and cookies).

I feel all warm and cozy now thanks to you two.
The question is when will you be posting the uncut, banned in three countries, your mum and your priest don’t want you to see version?

They had to do the interview on the one day that LB had his Subsonic logo’d t-shirt inside out!!!
The video is hilariously entertaining. It could be on a Fox reality show called “When Writers Speak!”. Next time demand teleprompters!

I have a feeling that U2 comment was a direct diss at me, LB. Not havin’ it.
Other than that, hilarious interview. What a couple of turbos!

Go back and listen again—wasn’t a diss, just an honest answer to leDoux’s question.

I would diss U2 any day of the week. Just thought I should let you know.
