Celebrity Orphans @ High Dive

BC Campbell and the fellaz of The Celebrity Orphans are the highlight of this Wed night show at the High Dive in Fremont. While never having received much attention for the years of effort these guys have put in, I still think they’re one of the best Seattle outfits going. Celebrity Orphans are about to head out on a West Coast Tour and plan to hit it hard tonight! They go on at about 10:30.

The actual closer for this night is a band called Verse, but finding anything about a band named “verse” is like looking for information on a movie called “the” . Thus I have no idea what they’re like.  Gonken appears second on the night and dubs himself as Safeway Select Justin Timberlake. Personally I think that’s hilarious. And his sound, while being a lo-fi version of electronica/punk (if that’s possible,) might not be the best you’ve ever heard but the self deprecation alone should be worth the effort. If you’re satisfied after hearing Celebrity Orphans you can still get some sleep for Thursday, or if  the mystery of Verse inspires you.. stay all night.
