The Foxes had more success but I think this is a better album. I keep hearing different undertones, The Stones, Kinks, Dylan, Velvet Underground, but the revelation is the similarity to The Mommas and the Papas. They have a vocal relationship similar to Denny Doherty and Mama Cass. Compare the track Armageddon Song to Creeque Alley. But I digress. Bottom line=should have been rated higher. It's a fun album. Other fav's (but I can't say for sure if they were released in 2008) - 17th Chapter and Derby.
