KEXP Yule Benefit @ Neumos

KEXP’s 6th Annual Yule Benefit has moved back to Neumos this year, after a wild but undersold show at the Showbox downtown in 2007. Both nights are good lineups (especially Friday, when I plan on attending), but I’m a little surprised there are only three bands this year. Last year there were four; and at least two crazy, drunken elves. Grand Archives and the Dutchess and the Duke are two bands whose debuts you’ll be seeing on a lot of year end lists in the NW, mine included. Past favorite performances of yours truly at the Yule Benefit? Feral Children in ‘07, Junior Boys in ‘06, the Wrens in ‘05, and—one of the best shows I’ve ever witnessed—Arcade Fire in ‘04.
