Of Montreal is more than just a band and much, much, more than an Outback Steakhouse jingle.. Their live performances are becoming notorious for being insane, surreal, stage productions. – well beyond the realm of the drab and stationary CD playback of today’s shoe gazers. You can think of it as being something more akin to Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust, Beck or the Rocky Horror Picture show. An ever-evolving Vaudeville Snowflake, i.e. no two are ever the same. In looking at past show reviews, I’ve seen everything from wild-west saloon style gunfights to burlesque transgender carnival used to describe the “event”.
