The Rosebuds @ the Tractor

The Rosebuds, hailing from North Carolina and boasting a taaaaaall guitarist married to his pretty blonde keyboardist (who moonlights as a standup comic, btw), play the Tractor Tavern in Ballard. Kind of a dusty, down home place for the impassioned, quasi-disco oooo-la-la’s of this electro-pop band, but whatever. I saw them by chance last year at Neumos when they played with Montreal’s Land of Talk (who I was there to see) and was converted into a fan. You should try this method of conversion. Sometimes it works quite well and it’s tons more fun than some of those so-called “major religions” out there. Your local music venue is your place of worship: GO FORTH.

Their new record, Life Like, sees the band taking a darker, more subdued approach to their previous output, but I’m sure the fun will remain in their live set. The Rosebuds are good, check ‘em out.
