Portland’s rowdy Zeppelin-meets-Beirut folk-rock band, the Builders and the Butchers, are coming to Neumos. And you should check them out. Gritty, rollicking, and passionate, this band puts on an entertaining set for anyone interested in what a lead mandolin player, two drum kits, an oversized acoustic Rickenbacker bass, and various noisemakers can do for a storytellin’ frontman with an unwavering voice. And, as you can see from the picture below, they’re a bit…morbid. And fun—go figure.
