We had just walked in the front door hoping we had missed the opening act. Usually I watch all the acts, but I knew Earth already. I fucking knew better! I was about to jump on stage and ramble off jibberish just to find a linear. 'And the tired Mariner sat along the wreckage pondering, "Who killed my Man of War?" What beast had blown in the storm which led the hand that crushed his last and mightiest vessel? His fastest ship could no longer chase the sun.' That sort of dribble. We should have been with you. The opening acts almost put me into a coma. EARTH was terrible. The first two songs of the set shared the same guitar lines. Oh Yes! With no vocalist, all you got to hear was the guitarist. It became as taxing as watching David Lynch's Industrial Symphony or watching one of Andy Warhols industrial profile study films but soundtracked by a slower version of LOW or Mazzy Star... without lyrics! I hate Earth, I hate Earth, I hate Earth!!!!! It was a great show.
