Last week I promised you sounds, and you got it:
In advance of the upcoming LP, “Fun DMC”, Thes One of LA’s People Under the Stairs just leaked Funner Than Leather, a free digital mixtape today for the masses to whet their hiphop appetites.

At an hour long, you’ve got a tip top freestyle soundtrack to get you through the next couple of weeks. Fun DMC hard copies will be out Tuesday (duh) 30 September. It’s due to be a double album with a 24 page comic book. So yeah, it might be out there in a pre-production form on the internets, but plan to go get yourself a hard copy. Like they said on “O.S.T.”:
“We worked too hard for you to %*&in’* download it.”

Like any proper mixtape, the sound is rough and low-fi. It’s one long track, and it’s NOT strictly a sampler of the record. (I’ve heard the LP and this is basically a bonus album.) It’s a bit of a shoutout from the MCs closest to them celebrating the release of the new record in a loose and honest way. Bonus for you! In addition to the single “Step Bacc” that came out a few weeks ago, you can also hear a remixed preview of FUN DMC’s “Riddum People”. If you haven’t heard the P before, get off your duff and direct that mouse to their myspace page. There are a coupla older jams in their player there.
