Priscilla Ahn is a Pennyslvania-bred, L.A.-livin’ solo folk singer looking to make a name for herself through a debut album full of swaying rhythms, quiet guitars, heartfelt lyrics and a bit of country twang. I suspect she has a backing band (as is usually the case with these solo-types). Her contemporaries would include the great Neko Case, quirky Olympian chanteuse Mirah, Regina Spektor, and Seattle’s own Sera Cahoone.

At the Triple Door. $12. With Willoughby.
